In a statement issued by the association’s spokesman, Sunny-Wenike Douglas, Benjamin Simeon, 43, of Okposo in Ebonyi state, was allegedly killed by gunmen still unidentified in the early hours of Saturday in Johannesburg. , a city in South Africa.

Sunny-Wenike Douglas explained that until his death, the late Simeon was a Taxify driver. It is said that the victim was killed almost immediately after leaving her clients in a part of the city.

Douglas added that an investigating officer from the South African Police Service confirmed that a murder case had been opened.

He promised that his association would follow up on the case to ensure that the murderers were arrested and brought to justice.

The late Mr. Benjamin Simeon until his death was a driver of Taxify and survived a pregnant wife, who is also from the same community as him and has two other children from the same wife.

It was learned that the deceased transports workers who close night shifts at night, under a previously agreed pick-up plan and was on one of those trips when he received two shots almost immediately after leaving his clients.

Emeka Isaac, who is married to the deceased’s sister, said he received a call around 3:00 a.m. from an unknown office number that he did not select, and then a call from the deceased’s wife alerting him to her husband’s response. phone, which led to several calls made.

Finally, someone whom the police called earlier informed him that the deceased had some problems with the police, the police phone number was sent to him and he only received the sad news after calling the police phone number.

The remains of the deceased were taken by paramedics who arrived at the scene of the crime in the company of SAPS and since then they have been deposited in the Johannesburg mortuary after the death of the deceased was confirmed.

The deceased’s vehicle and phone were recovered and handed over to Mr. Emeka Isaac (the father-in-law).

We contacted the detective in charge of the case, who confirmed that the murder case was opened in the Moffatview MPS and we received the case number and direct contact from the investigating police officer.
