What saddens me about Lagos – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed concern about the persistent stagnation in Apapa, Lagos state.

He spoke when he received the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lagos (LCCI) in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.

“I must admit that the stagnation of Apapa remains a challenge. It saddens me that companies have had to suffer as a result of this. “We are trying our best to work with the Lagos State Government to end this problem,” he said.

Buhari also assured Nigerians that his administration would continue to support the private sector to prosper and create more jobs in the country.

He revealed that the Federal Government had invested heavily in infrastructure development, and also supported development banks to grant loans to merchants and small businesses.

“In the last four years, we have invested heavily in infrastructure development. “We support our development banks to grant loans to merchants and small businesses.

“We signed executive orders to support the consumption of local content. We also focus on improving the ease of doing business to facilitate investment, “he added.
