We are not mad people – Afenifere Attack President Buhari with strong message

Yinka Odumakin, a spokesman for the Afenifere Renovation Group, said criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration stems from the need to ensure that the government did the right thing. He said this while talking on Sunday Politics of Channels TV.

According to Odumakin, if the government did the right thing, such as when it granted national honors to Chief MKO Abiola, other heroes of Democracy and declared June 12 as the Day of Democracy of the nation, then he would receive praise as he did then.

“When they do good things, we say it. “When this government decided to honor June 12, didn’t we praise it? We did it.

“We are not crazy to see (a) something good and say that it is bad, but we are not flatterers that we will see (a) something bad and say that it is good,” said Odumakin.

Odumakin is, however, skeptical about Buhari’s administration doing more useful things in his second term.

But he thinks he has no other country than Nigeria and is eager to see things improve because “every day we spend in bad conditions” does not help anyone and “every day we spend in good condition is an advantage for all of us.”

Consequently, he added, “even if you do not support the government, you will not say that the country should be destroyed. We will be happy if they (the government) do it well.”
