Senator Lawan Write a strong warning to Buhari

The Majority Leader of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has told President Muhammadu Buhari, that the National Assembly won’t become his “elastic stamp” in the event that he is chosen Senate President.

Lawan expressed this while addressing columnists in Abuja on Saturday. The official conceded that in spite of the fact that he is a fanatic of Buhari, his help for the president, won’t risk the upper authoritative chamber under his administration.

Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) had embraced Lawan to succeed Bukola Saraki as Senate President. “I won’t deny it; I am a president Buhari man. I put stock in him and I trust in my gathering on account of the standards they represent. In any case, in the event that you trust in somebody and they have an issue that you think can be completed with a specific goal in mind other than the manner in which it was displayed, proposing you go the other way exhibits that you are truly for that individual.

“So my help for the president, for instance, must not be confounded as going to make the national get together an elastic stamp in the event that I am senate president. “The capacity of the lawmaking body is for the individuals from the council in larger part to take a choice after a discussion or whatever; at that point the minority would have had their state and the choice goes to the greater part. You can’t as a directing officer say no, I am not going to go with that position. Else you will be sacked,” he said.
