Security: Delta Govt. urges youths to be conscious, shun vices

Mr. Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje, Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Government House and Protocol in Delta, has charged the youth to be security conscious and shun all vices.

The Permanent Secretary gave the charge on Friday while addressing the outgoing 2018 Batch B, Stream 1 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who served in the Directorate in Asaba.

He decried the security challenges facing the country, especially kidnapping, ritual killings, and internet fraud, and charged them to maintain a positive way to success.

”I want to congratulate you all on your successful completion of the service year. ”As you go into the world, please be careful of the friends you keep, the people you converse with on social media and don’t be lured into internet fraud,

crimes, and the get-quick-rich syndrome. ”Remember that the right name is better than riches; you can attain any heights if you follow the right and positive way, and with God on your side, success will be yours.

”You have a responsibility to be a good citizen of this country,” Ogidi-Gbegbaje said. Earlier, Mr. Ayodele Oluwarotimi, who responded on behalf of the corps members,

thanked the management of the Directorate for allowing them to serve. He also pledged their resolve to remain good ambassadors of the country.
