Sallah: NSCDC Deploys 3,000 Personnel In Delta

The Delta Command of the Nigerian Civil Security and Defense Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 3,000 armed and unarmed people to ensure a smooth Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state of Delta.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the command, Eke Onyekachi, revealed this in a statement made available to journalists in Asaba on Thursday.

He said that the state’s Commander of the body, Dr. Eze Benito, had deployed officers across the country to work in synergy with other security agencies.

Onyekachi said the deployment was to provide adequate security during the holidays and ensure that Eid-el-Kabir celebrations were trouble-free and enjoyed by everyone.

He said officers were expected to patrol the main areas of the state and that they would be located in strategic locations to ensure the safety of all Delta people during the period of the celebration.

“The commander assures people of a trouble-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration since the officers are ready to provide adequate security during and after the celebrations,” he said.
