Revolution Now: APC reveals those behind protests against Buhari govt

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked Nigerians to reject the toxic messages and criminal antics of some individuals and partisans who have embarked on a slander campaign against the Buhari government and are calling for a takeover of the government.

He said those who were behind the protests were influential people who lost the general elections. A statement Thursday night by Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC National Advertising Secretary, called them cowards and enemies of Nigeria.

He said that Mr. Omoyele Sowore’s recent arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS) should be seen as legal and timely action by Nigeria’s security services to protect our democracy and protect the country and its citizens. Against any action that threatens our collective. Peace and security

“As expected, some desperate people, aching losers and their supporters are acting in vain trying to put wool over Nigerian eyes. Of course, the discontent presidential candidate of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP), Alh. Atiku Abubakar is expected to be the sponsor and animator of the antipatriotic elements that would prefer to bring down our country because it was rejected at the polls.

“The desperate attempt to politicize legitimate action by security agencies and the useless effort to spread the falsehood to create chaos in the country is irresponsible actions. We call on Nigerians to discuss the issue of Sowore’s arrest dispassionately without the biased narratives and feelings propagated by these individuals.

“Sowore arrived in the country recently and openly threatened a revolution against a constitutionally recognized and legitimate government. Should the DSS and other security services have ruled out the declaration and the underlying implications as a problem? No intelligence/security agency worth calling takes issues like this lightly.
