Presidential Tribunal: Buhari, APC closure of case tactical withdrawal – PDP claims

People  PDP described Buhari and the APC action as a tactic. GISTOK reported Thursday that Buhari and APC had closed their defense before the Court.

Buhari’s lead attorney, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) and APC lead attorney, Lateef Fagbemi announced that the second and third respondents were closing their defense in the case.

Buhari was expected to produce more witnesses today, but his lawyer told the court that, after reviewing his case and the evidence carried out so far, they were satisfied that they had done enough to get the victory.

In a tweet through his official Twitter ID, PDP noted that while Buhari used only 2 of the six days assigned to him to present witnesses, the APC did not call any witnesses at all.

PDP wrote: “Breaking news! President @Mbuhari and his party, @OfficialAPCNg, made a tactical withdrawal in the Presidential Election Petition Court.

“@Mbuhari used only two days of his six days, while APC did not present a single witness or evidence. It’s time for #RescueNigeria. ”
