Presidential Tribunal: Buhari, APC close defence to Atiku, PDP’s petitions

President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress , APC, have closed their defense in the Presidential Election Petition Court.

Buhari and APC defended the request of Atiku Abubakar and the Popular Democratic Party, PDP, challenging his victory in the Court.

Buhari’s principal lawyer, Wole Olanipekun and APC’s chief lawyer, Lateef Fagbemi, announced that the second and third respondents were closing their defense in the case.

The APC presidential candidate called six witnesses and handed out documents between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Buhari was expected to produce more witnesses today, but his lawyer told the Court that after reviewing his case and the evidence carried out so far, he was satisfied that he had done enough to get the victory.

APC’s lawyer, Fagbemi, also spoke similarly to Olanipekun, saying that the third defendant also decided to close his case.
