Presidency speaks on leaked list of Buhari’s ministers’ portfolio

The Presidency has reacted to a list that rounds “Ministers appointed and assigned portfolio” by President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari had sent a list of potential ministers to the Senate last Tuesday for evaluation.

Legislators postponed their annual vacation to evaluate within five days. All 43 ministerial candidates sent to the Red Chamber have already been confirmed.

Buhari’s special assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad, on his Twitter page, urged Nigerians to ignore any list of portfolios of ministers circulating on social networks.

According to him, the list will be officially announced by President Buhari during the inauguration.

Ahmad on his Twitter page wrote: “When someone makes a list of designated Ministers and a portfolio assigned to them. The attached file is now trending on WhatsApp as usual.

“DISABLE any list, please, Nigerians. The President will announce the portfolio after his inauguration as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “
