Police locate where kidnappers kept five RCCG pastors, reveal next action

The Ogun Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of five people by armed men in the J3 / J4 area, Ogbere, on the Benin-Ijebu-Ode-Sagamu highway.

GISTOK had reported that the RCCG General Supervisor, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, announced the kidnapping of clerics on Friday at the Redeemed Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Highway.

Adeboye, while commissioning the congregation to pray for the release of the hostages, said the kidnapping took place on Thursday along the Ijebu-Ode axis.

He was quoted as saying: “As a father, how do you think I should feel when I hear that five of my children have been kidnapped while they were going to the Conference of Ministers?” He asked.

But speaking with journalists on Friday in Abeokuta, police spokesman in Ogun state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the command could not determine whether or not the captives were RCCG pastors.

According to him, the victims were heading from the eastern part of the country when armed men blocked the commercial bus that was transporting them Thursday night at a place between the limits of the states of Ogun and Ondo.

The police spokesman said that the armed men, after stopping the vehicle, took four men and a woman to the forest, but left the driver, a sick passenger and his wife in the car.

Oyeyemi said the state Police Commissioner, Bashir Makama, had personally taken the police rescue team to the location.

“Through surveillance, we must know their location, but we don’t want to attack them so as not to endanger the lives of the victims.” By the grace of God, we will rescue the victims,” ​​NAN quoted him.
