Plane Lands On Road After Fuel System Malfunction (VIDEO)

Authorities say a small plane landed on a busy stretch of the highway in the state of Washington, stunning drivers but not hurting anyone.

The Washington State Patrol says the single-propelled KR2 plane landed Thursday on the street in the city of Parkland, south of Tacoma.

Soldier Johnna Batiste says the pilot was able to land during a traffic disruption after a fuel system malfunction caused the plane to stop. The video shows that it stops just before an intersection.

Driver Dennis Diessner told the Seattle KOMO television station that the plane got so close to his car that he thought he could have reached it and touched it. He says he stopped to make sure the pilot was excellent.

Batiste says that a soldier who was nearby helped the pilot push the plane into a parking lot.
