Oyo NLC suspends strike, directs members to resume immediately

The Oyo State part of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) on Monday suspended its indefinite strike.GISTOK reviews that the association had last Friday proclaimed an uncertain strike because of the disappointment of the active legislative leader of the state, Abiola Ajimobi to pay and unfulfilled obligations of elementary teachers in the state.

NLC said it set out on the hit in solidarity with the grade teachers. Be that as it may, the association had on Monday said it had canceled the strike.

NLC Chairman in the state, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo while tending to writers on Monday demanded that the strike was canceled all together not to humiliate the approaching legislature of Engineer Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He kept up that the strike has been canceled while laborers are coordinated to continue right away.

Titilola-Sodo noticed that Makinde was a well-reproduced, well-sustained individual, taking note of that the work trusts that he will deliver all issues relating to the welfare of the specialists.

He stated, “In protection to this man of respect and to guarantee Engineer Seyi Makinde of the well-meaning plans of Oyo State specialists, the strike activity is therefore suspended, and laborers are thus coordinated to continue right away.”

He stressed that a portion of the interest of the specialists have been on the table of the current government for the last one to two years, including that laborers in Oyo State had been tolerant reasoning that the current government would have a difference in heart and give their requests.

“The strike came in the conviction that with political will, the staying number of days would stillbirth a decent life for the specialists, our strike activity was not expected to threaten or humiliate the approaching government as certain individuals might need to suggest.”
