Oshiomhole: Ekweremadu reacts as Gov. Obaseki joins PDP

Ike Ekeremadu, erstwhile Deputy Senate President, has recommended Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State for defecting to the Peoples Democratic Birthday party, PDP.

Ekweremadu described Obaseki’s defection to PDP as a “new break of day” for the folks of Edo State.

Obaseki had on Friday formally joined the PDP, after he dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, following disputes with the celebration’s Nationwide Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

Addressing supporters and individuals of the celebration, the governor had mentioned PDP’s power will lend a hand him transfer the state to the following stage.

Reacting to Obaseki’s defection, the previous Deputy Senate President mentioned PDP was once a just right platform for building and just right governance.

In a sequence of tweets, Ekweremadu wrote: “I sign up for different PDP leaders and trustworthy in welcoming the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, to our nice celebration.

“Indisputably, the PDP gives the Governor and the nice folks of Edo State no longer just a veritable platform for victory within the imminent gubernatorial election within the state but in addition a certain trail to peace, just right governance and rapid building; and in combination, we can do it ”.
