NNPC speaks on ‘fuel scarcity’ in ember months

The National Petroleum Corporation of Nigeria (NNPC) says it has a robust supply of petroleum products that will sustain the country in the months of Ember and even beyond December.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that The Managing Director of the Corporation Group, Malam Mele Kyari, revealed this in an interview with Latest Nigeria newspaper in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said that despite the attacks on its pipe networks, the NNPC had plans to ensure the uninterrupted supply of products in the country.

Kyari said the Nigerians did not have to worry about the disgusting months and Yuletide, as they had implemented an adequate plan and strategy.

“First of all, we have a very solid plan that has been working since January, and until the end of the year, there will be no month in which we have less than two billion liters of gasoline in the country.

“This is our plan until next year, and as far as I can tell, I am very sure that our supply plan is sound; we will make sure that the supply is delivered.

“There would be no incidents during the Yuletide period,” he said “We have all the volume we need, we have all the strategies to deliver to the fuel stations, and God willing, we won’t have any challenge,” he said.
