Nigerian universities workers begin strike

The Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) have started a five-day new activity.

GISTOK assembled that individuals in the University of Lagos, Lagos State University, among others agreed on Monday. The mandate by the Joint Action Committee of NASU and SSANU was issued to all branch administrators of the associations the nation over on Friday.

It clarified that the activity was because of the lapse of the 14-day final proposal given to the Federal Government.

The laborers blamed the administration for neglecting to show robust duty towards settling the issues raised by the associations, including the installment of earned stipends to individuals. Others are the status of the college staff schools’ issue and the renegotiation of 2009 Agreements.
