Nigerian executive states place on reopening of colleges

The government on Thursday restated that it had no longer directed colleges to reopen.

Secretary to the Executive of the federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, stated this at a media briefing on Thursday.

The management have been criticised by means of stakeholders over experiences that government have been set to reopen colleges.

The Schools Of Schooling Educational Workforce Union (COEASU) and the Educational Workforce Union of Universities (ASUU) issued stern warnings.

Mustapha, Chairman of the Presidential Process Pressure (PTF) at the COVID-19, introduced that the Federal Ministry of Schooling would seek the advice of extra extensively.

He stated: “For the avoidance of doubts, colleges have no longer resumed. Handiest essential exam categories can be allowed to renew for many who want revision ahead of examinations.”

The respectable added that the Ministry of Schooling “will seek the advice of additional with stakeholders ahead of issuing tips that can result in complete resumption”.

The SGF appealed to Nigerians “to proceed to turn working out and to make sure that their wards take complete good thing about digital platforms equipped for studying”.
