Nigerian executive addressing issues of more than one taxation, proper of manner – Minister, Pantami tells Telecom operators

The Minister of Communications and Virtual Economic system, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has confident telecommunication operators that the federal government was once addressing the problem of more than one taxation among different issues dealing with them.

Pantami mentioned the federal government was once addressing different problems affecting telecom operators like drawback of proper of manner and coverage of infrastructure.

He defined that this may assist fast-tracking broadband infrastructure deployment and penetration.

The minister disclosed this whilst charging the Nigerian Communications Fee (NCC) to verify efficient tracking and guidance of the full implementation of the Nationwide Broadband Plan (NBP) 2020-2025.

He spoke on the inauguration of NCC’s Govt Commissioner, Technical Services and products, Engr. Ubale Maska, because the Chairman of the newly-inaugurated Broadband Implementation Steerage Committee (BISC) in Abuja, the day past.

The minister mentioned the mandate of the committee was once to verify “efficient tracking for implementation of the Nationwide Broadband Plan (NBP), 2020- 2025.”

He mentioned: “The adventure began with the acclaim for the transformation of the ministry and its parastatals in October, 2019 from mere ICT establishments to virtual financial system establishments by means of the President. This was once adopted by means of the disclosing of the Nationwide Virtual Economic system Coverage and Technique (NDEPS) in November, 2019 and the improvement of a brand new NBP 2020-2025, which was once introduced by means of the President in March 19, 2020.
