INEC Broadcasts Winner Of Nasarawa Bye-Election

The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Ismail Danbaba because the winner of Saturday’s bye-election for Nasarawa Central state constituency.

He defeated Bage Nuhu of the Peoples Democratic Birthday celebration (PDP) to emerge winner of the election.

Iiyasu Umar, the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) Returning Officer declared Danbaba winner after the polls have been concluded and votes counted.

“By way of the ability conferred on me because the Returning Officer of this election, I hereby declared the APC candidate the winner, having scored the best possible selection of votes forged,’’ Umar declared.

APC’s Danbaba scored 7,475 votes whilst Nuhu of the PDP polled 4,608 votes.

A complete of 12,217 votes have been forged; 12,083 legitimate votes have been recorded with 134 rejected.

The dying of Suleiman Adamu, who represented the constituency at Space of Meeting on April 10 whilst on admission on the Federal Scientific Centre (FMC) in Keffi necessitated the bye-election.
