How Buhari govt caused RevolutionNow protest – Atiku’s top aide, Afegbua

The spokesman of the People Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar Campaign, Kassim Afegbua, has insisted that the Federal Congress of All Progressives, led by APC, was responsible for the Revolution now protest.

Afegbua said the federal government led by APC pushed the Nigerians to stir up a revolution due to their corrupt government.

Appearing on Channels Television, Afegbua said Nigerians would not call the Revolution if the APC government had “provided a good government.” He said: “If you look at the RevolutionNow plan, you are asking for several critical issues.

“But for the failure of the government, for the failure of the government led by the Congress of All Progressives in specific critical sectors of the nation’s economy, both in politics and in the welfare of the people, this RevolutionNow is beginning to call people’s attention.

“If things were good, if the APC could sit down and provide governance if they can govern the country very well, people will not be agitated by things like RevolutionNow.”

Recall that the Department of State Services, DSS, had picked up Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, over the weekend for calling the protest of Revolution Now.

Despite Sowore’s arrest, the RevolutionNow protest was held yesterday in some states.
