Governor Bagudu replaces Okorocha as chairman of the APC Board of Governors

The Governor of the State of Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu, has been elected as President of the Forum of Governors of the Congress of All Progressives.

The APC governors’ forum revealed this on Friday through its Twitter account. “We are very pleased to announce that Governor Atiku Bagudu of the Kebbi State Government is now our President, for which press releases and subsequent briefings will be held.” Governor Bagudu will replace the outgoing governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, who will end his eight-year term on May 29.

Governor Bagudu, speaking after his appearance at a meeting held at the IMO Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, stated that he would provide leadership to PGF to realize a collective vision to build a robust, democratic and inclusive APC. He also pledged to “mobilize all party members and, by extension, the Nigerians to expand and deepen the democratic structures of the party.”
