Government suspends activities of IPMAN in Cross River

The state government of Cross River has announced the suspension of the activities of the Independent Association of Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria (IPMAN) in the State.

The suspension, met GISTOK, takes effect immediately, pending the resolution of the leadership crisis in the association.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Calabar on Tuesday, the chief press secretary of Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River, Christian Ita, the group was ordered to stop further activities in the State immediately.

“Consequently, no group will present itself as the leadership of the association,” he said. GISTOK reports that the group had become entangled in a leadership struggle, which had caused a shortage of petroleum products in the State.
