Government begins massive recruitment, opens job portal [See details]

The job portal promised by the Governor of the state of Ogun, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is finally ready. The portal, according to a statement issued on Wednesday in Abeokuta by the Press Secretary in Chief, Kunle Somorin,

would record, on an ongoing basis, young unemployed in the state to provide them with suitable jobs for their academic and business qualifications. He gave the address of the site as http://www.iseya.ng/public/.

“The Ogun State Government is partnering with the public-private sector aimed at expanding the workspace for our young men and women and those who have special talents,” the Governor said in the statement.

“It is an essential pillar of our quality governance model. We will have an inclusive government that will use powerful, valuable oils that abound in the state, and that is why we involve the private sector.

“All graduates and those with vocational training throughout the state will provide their information, and we will endeavor to relate them to potential employers, not only within the public administration but also with the private sector, with which we associate.

“To make sure that the citizens and residents of the states do not have brief changes, we will send a local content bill for legislative action, so that investors look first at the availability of workers in the state of Ogun and make of our young people their main catchment area when they locate their companies “.

The Governor said that his government plans specific enablers as a result of its mission to build our future together through “qualitative governance, education, health, infrastructure development, digitization, and agriculture.”

“In addition to linking our graduates with industrialists and government agencies, we plan to involve 10,000 farmers to receive support for mechanized agriculture with the benefits of the concurrent value chain so that the agroindustrial is the basis of their administration’s plan to take out the people of poverty.\

“Some must also be trained as DJs, artists, playwrights, musicians and in the creative arts and entrepreneurship,” the statement added.

Already, Governor Abiodun said that 10,000 young people would receive support to plant cassava, corn, and rice, crops in which the state is a leading producer.

“Each farmer will obtain a plot of land and will be supported with clearing services, nurseries, extension, and public services to ensure the profitability of their companies,” the statement concluded.
