EFCC confirms Covenant varsity accountant’s arrest over theft

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has affirmed the capture of a bookkeeper with Covenant University, Ota, Osun State for the supposed taking.

The EFCC’s Acting Head, Media and Publicity, Tony Orilade, in an instant message to our reporter, stated, “I affirm a bookkeeper of pledge college is with us for some days now over a supposed instance of taking, announced by the chancellor of the school.”

As per The Nation, the preoccupation of N180m took a long time before the college was alarmed to his supposed extortion.

The Chancellor of the college and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, allegedly depicted the way of life as “wild.”

He was said to have gotten some ostentatious vehicles, which he supposedly kept in a chateau he purchased with stolen assets in highbrow Lekki part of Lagos, even though he had a house in the school where he lived with his significant other.
