Edo Meeting: You Have Misplaced Your Seats

Rt. Hon. Francis Okiye, the Speaker of the Edo Meeting, has stated the 14 members-elect now not but inaugurated, not have seats to occupy within the meeting.

The Edo Meeting Speaker requested most people to forget about the 14 elected lawmakers.

He stated the affected members-elect have misplaced their standing and rights, following their refusal to be inaugurated.

Hon. Okiye described their purported inauguration in a personal place of abode as unlawful.

“The Governor, following the provisions of the Charter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, issued a proclamation for the primary consultation of the meeting on June 14, 2019,” he stated.

“The Clerk of the Area issued a realize to all members-elect to wait the primary consultation on June 17, 2019 and the home used to be duly convened and inaugurated.”
