COVID-19: Nigerian executive offers updates on WAEC, NECO assessments

The government has stated it’s operating to carry the timetables for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the Nationwide Exam Council (NECO) examinations nearer.

Minister of State for Schooling, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, said this on Monday, whilst talking on the Presidential Activity Power (PTF) for COVID-19.

“It calls for six weeks to finish the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the Nationwide Exam Council (NECO) examinations.

“We’re operating to carry the timetable nearer.

“I’ve simply completed a gathering with the representatives of WAEC and NABTEB and I know how that worries our oldsters this present day and the way apprehensive our youngsters are to grasp what subsequent,” Nwajiuba stated.

In April this yr, the Nigerian govt suspended each WAEC and NECO examinations indefinitely, in a bid to include the unfold of Coronavirus.
