Buhari group sends message to Atiku Abubakar

The Buhari Media Organization, BMO, accused the presidential candidate of the Popular Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 2019 elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, of being directly responsible for the ‘poverty of millions of Nigerians’ as head of the National Council of Privatization. , NCP.

BMO said this contradicted Atiku’s claims that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari ruined the country.

The BMO asked Atiku to pay attention to the advice of its former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo, and seek adequate forgiveness from Nigerians for the damage he did to the country.

The president of the BMO, Niyi Akinsiju, and the secretary, Cassidy Madueke, in a statement on Tuesday, said the former vice president was pressing a false narrative again “to deceive the Nigerians without discernment.”

“We are not surprised that the former vice president has jumped to a report from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) issued last month to hit a man who considers his enemy,” the group added.

“The UN agency had noted that just over 98 million Nigerians lived in multidimensional poverty, but, as usual, the PDP presidential candidate did not fully understand the details before launching an attack on President Buhari.

“The report indicated that about 46 percent of Nigerians were deficient as they are today, but Atiku Abubakar needs to remember that 60.9 percent of Nigerians, or 100 million people, lived below the poverty line in 2010, and 120 million in 2012, according to the World Bank, which is the body that provides a global poverty count.

“Interestingly, the period in which the country had an exponential increase in the number of people living below $ 1 per day was during the uninterrupted 16 years that the former vice president’s party had influence in Nigeria.

“It is no secret that Alhaji Abubakar was the chief executor of what happened in the annals of the nation as a major robbery of the nation’s assets, an action that he later launched against former president Obasanjo.”

“He literally sold several government-owned companies for less than his market values to his cronies to strip and cannibalize, and in the process, tens of thousands of workers were denied their livelihoods and were laid off without benefits.” It is also recorded that he kept one of the most precious assets (Onne Port) for himself.

“Or should you also be reminded of the period when the nation’s education sector practically collapsed, but it was when he and former President Obasanjo established high-profile secondary and tertiary private institutions?

“So, if Atiku is looking for the person who plunged Nigerians into multidimensional poverty, he should simply look in the nearest mirror, or maybe he could tell us how many people drove to hardship and how many paid their pensions, even after the date Obasanjo administration terminal.

“In the event that the latest news has been lost, the Buhari administration, through its Directorate of Temporary Arrangements for Pensions (PTAD), has paid the outstanding compensation package of more than 1,500 former eligible verified workers and former family members Savannah Sugar Company deceased workers.

“The former vice president cannot say that he has forgotten that these workers were not paid their benefits when they were laid off in 2002, after the company was privatized.

“This is just one of many examples of how President Buhari has been cleaning up the disaster left by Atiku and the leaders of his party, who have not shown any remorse, but are also prepared to insult Nigerians’ sensibilities “.
