BREAKING: President Buhari talk on Danjuma’s death

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of His Royal Highness, Danjuma Bayonga, the Gara de Donga. The president sympathized with the Bayonga family, the government and the people of the state of Taraba for his death.

The president, in a statement released Thursday by Shehu Garba, described the traditional first-class ruler and retired 81-year-old policeman as a person dedicated to improving the welfare of people in his domain.

He regretted that Nigeria has also “lost a peace defender.”

According to President Buhari, Gara Donga as a businessman, a founding member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and one of the respected leaders in the former state of Gongola before going home after the creation of the state of Taraba, was “committed not only with the peace, unity and development of its domain and nation, but also of the whole country. ”

The president ordered the family of the royal father, friends, associates, and the people of the state of Taraba to console themselves, knowing that the monarch lived an exemplary life that deserved to be emulated.

He prayed to Almighty God to comfort all who mourn the dead and give rest to his soul.
