Breaking: Customs Arrest 2 Lebanese Smuggling $890,000 Out Of Nigeria

Officials of the Nigeria Customs, Rivers State command, on Wednesday arrested two Lebanese, Dina Jihad Khali and Chamseddine Waell Mohammed.

Khali and Mohammed had been making an attempt to smuggle a complete sum of $890,000 out of Nigeria in the course of the Port Harcourt Global Airport.

The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee has commenced the investigation of 2 Lebanese.

The customs after their arrest passed them over to the Port Harcourt, Zonal place of work of the EFCC.

Mohammed Olayinka, Customs Space Controller, disclosed that Khali with Passport Quantity LR152975 (Republic of Lebanon) was once arrested with $670,000.

Mohammed with Passport Quantity LR0356598 (Republic of Lebanon) had $220,000.

They had been each arrested whilst looking to board a flight to Lebanon.

Olayinka mentioned the suspects didn’t claim to Customs.

The cash has been lodged on the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) in Rivers State for safekeeping.
