Apostle Suleman speaks on death of Catholic priest, kidnap of 5 RCCG pastors

Omega Fire Ministries International’s General Supervisor, Apostle Johnson Suleman, reacted to the kidnapping of five ministers of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), who were going to attend the church’s Conference of Ministers in Lagos on Thursday.

He also condemned the murder of the Catholic parish priest of St. James, the major parish, Ugbawka, in Enugu state, the Rev. FR Paul Offu.

Daily Post had reported that the RCCG General Supervisor, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, announced the kidnapping on Friday at the Redeemed Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Highway.

Adeboye, while commissioning the congregation to pray for the release of the hostages, said the kidnapping took place on Thursday along the Ijebu-Ode axis.

He was quoted as saying: “As a father, how do you think I should feel when I hear that five of my children have been kidnapped while they were going to the Conference of Ministers?”

Also, the Catholic parish priest of St. James, the Great Parish, Ugbawka, in Enugu state, the Rev. Paul Offu, reportedly was shot dead by alleged Fulani pastors on Thursday night.

Reacting, the Apostle Suleiman expresses sadness and disbelief at the recent development. The Frankish clergyman called on God to “thwart the agenda of evil men in Nigeria” by the recent kidnapping.

On his verified Twitter page, the apostle Suleman wrote: “I just entered the country and heard strange news from 5 kidnapped RCCG pastors, murdered Catholic priests, soldiers buried in secret? “Are they true? I do not want to believe it.

“Father in the name of Jesus, we ask you to release all those who are in the hands of the captors after the order of Acts 12. Thwart the agenda of evil men in Nigeria. (Isaiah 7v7, Isaiah 8v10, Psalm 68v1). “May the ceaseless flow of blood come to an end in the name of Jesus.”
