AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore reportedly arrested by DSS

According to reports, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, was arrested by men from the Department of State Services, DSS.

It was said that Sowore, the convenor of #RevolutionNow Protests, was picked up at his apartment in the early hours of Saturday. The politician posted a distress tweet at precisely 1:25 in the morning that says: “DSS invades Sowore.”

Later, he added another tweet that could be a confirmation that his phone must have been seized while trying to give the alarm about his arrest.

Sowore’s arrest cannot be related to his recent conversation with the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The DSS has not yet confirmed the arrest.
