2019 election: INEC probes officials, redeploys admin secretary

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has started examination concerning the exercises of a portion of its authorities who took an interest in the 2019 general decisions in Bayelsa over the supposed offense.

INEC office in Bayelsa, in an announcement marked by the Head, Department of Voter Education/Publicity, Mr. Wilfred Ifogah, affirmed that authorities of the commission who took an interest in the 2019 surveys were being explored.

Ifogah, in any case, rejected media reports that the police captured the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mr. Monday Udoh, and other staff.

He, in any case, affirmed that officers of the Nigeria Police were in INEC office in Bayelsa to “accumulate valuable data,” from the REC and some staff who took an interest in the 2019 general races.

Mr. Lebari Nduh, the Administrative Secretary of INEC in Bayelsa, declined remark however affirmed in an instant message to NAN that he has been redeployed to Abuja.
